Pier Morrocco moved to London from Australia in 1991 and soon became involved in the dance scene, initially behind the bar at Heaven.
What started out as an interest in the music being played, soon developed into a hobby, which progressed into playing it himself in some of London's biggest clubs.

His big break came in 1994 when he was asked to play at Trade at Turnmills, at the height of its popularity. Pier cut his teeth as a DJ alongside such greats as the late Tony de Vit, Tall Paul Newman and Alan Thompson, at the time playing a mixture of Hard House and Melodic Trance. This led to guest slots around the country as well as a long term residency at The Edge in London.

In 1996, Pier temporarily returned to Sydney and further developed his skills, playing a mixture of gay clubs and massive mixed parties.
Over the years, his style has changed gradually and he now champions a far funkier sound, ranging from disco-influenced vocal house, to chunkier, more percussion-led tribal sounds, depending on the audience he is playing to.

He is currently a resident at two of London's most innovative and exciting gay clubs, Action and Salvation, and recently returned to Heaven as a monthly resident, this time serving up the tunes instead of the drinks! The last two years have seen extensive touring abroad, with Pier broadening his audience to include most major cities in Europe, as well as appearances in Cape Town, Bali, Jakarta and Vancouver in the last few months.

His style would best be described as uplifting, funky house, with a carnival feel, and he succeeds with infecting his dancefloors with the feel-good enthusiasm for which he has become renown for. His future endeavours will be taking him into the studio, to consolidate what he achieved as a DJ, where no doubt his endeavours will take his career onto a new level.
